“Bachelor” addicts, prepare to get hooked on another dating show. ABC has announced a new pageant style dating show, “The Proposal.” And it's from the creators of “The Bachelor.” The 10-episode series “will feature 10 eligible daters competing in four pageant-style rounds to win the heart of a mystery suitor or ‘suitress,’ whose identity is concealed from them.”
In each episode the daters will “attempt to woo the mystery suitor with their words in a first impressions round" strut in their beachwear, "answer the mystery suitor’s most pressing romantic questions;" and aim to get that stamp of approval from the suitor's trusted family member.
Each dater that fails to make a connection with the mystery suitor will be eliminated after each round. The two daters left will get the chance to meet the mystery girl or guy and “present a romantic proposal of their choice.” “Bachelor” alum and NFL star Jesse Palmer has been tapped to host the show, which will premiere this summer on ABC.
