The record for the biggest purchase in Walmart history, it turns out, goes to Shaquille O’Neal. In an interview with HBO’s “Real Sports,” Shaq tells the story of going to the superstore with a goal of furnishing his apartment in 2008 after been traded to the Phoenix Suns. Before he knew it, Shaq racked up $70-grand in furniture, amenities, and clothing. It was so much, in fact, that his AMEX card was declined because they thought it was fraud…until they called him and confirmed the purchase. Source: Real Sports
