Ole Miss HC Lane Kiffin has been the subject of rumors for the past few weeks concerning his future (or lack thereof) at Ole Miss and he finally announced he will be deserting the Rebels taking the job at LSU. DP thinks we have a real problem in college football when the rules empower a coach to toy with an entire program like that simply for his own benefit.
Dan Patrick: “Ole Miss owes Lane Kiffin gratitude for the wins but once he walks out the door, they don’t owe him any more than just that. He did a great job there. I don’t think anybody is denying that, but he made this a public mess and that’s the problem I had with this. You were kind of toying with the situation. You were toying with Ole Miss. You were toying with these kids. You were toying with your fan base…I just wish he would have been honest.”
