How Nashville Can Help

Help Victims of Hurricane Florence

Hurricane Florence is about to hit the coasts of North and South Carolina and Virginia. Here is what you can do to help!

DONATE TO THE AMERICAN RED CROSS

Money donated to the Red Cross will help workers prepare for the hurricane and then help people recover from it as well. You can donate here.

SUPPORT NVOAD

National Voluntary Organizations Active in Disaster is an association of organizations that respond to and help during natural disasters. You can volunteer through them or donate to them here.

FREE AIRBNB

Airbnb hosts in North Carolina, South Carolina, Georgia and Virginia have joined Airbnb’s Open Homes Program, which will offer free housing for those displaced by the hurricane or relief workers deployed to help until October 1st. Read more here.

HELP THE ANIMALS IN SHELTERS

Transporting animals in shelters to safer areas is costly so the number one resource they could use is money. You can donate directly to the Charleston Animal Society here.

If you live in Chattanooga, you can help by fostering the displaced animals that have been moved to the McKamey Animal Shelter - more info here.
