Some were great. Some were embarrassing. But all left us wanting more, and drove us to the record stores to pick up the LPs, cassettes, or (for the rich kids) the CDs that the songs came from. They were music videos. And they ruled the world.
I've picked a few of the videos of songs from this past Saturday's METAL WORKS Halloween Edition (to check out the full playlist just click here). You probably saw these back in the day on Miscellaneous Television or Much Music or Night Flight or Friday Night Videos, etc. etc.
**Some of the video quality on these aren't great, but I tried to find the best version of each for your trip down memory lane.**

Let's get things going with the season staple... "Halloween" from HELLOWEEN off their 1987 album Keeper Of The Seven Keys Part I. (The video is the single edit - the full song was played on this week's show.)
DOKKEN does battle with Freddy Krueger in "Dream Warriors", the A Nightmare On Elm Street 3: Dream Warriors single version from '87.
DANGEROUS TOYS from their self-titled 1989 album with "Scared."
W.A.S.P. with "Scream Until You Like It (Theme From 'Ghoulies II')" which you can find on their 1987 album Live... In The Raw. But first, a quick behind-the-scenes of the video.
Here's IRON MAIDEN with the title-track from 1982's The Number Of The Beast.(I wish they didn't feel the need to crop and stretch their videos to fit widescreen!!!)
From 1990's Painkiller, JUDAS PRIEST with "A Touch Of Evil".
ALICE COOPER with "He's Back (The Man Behind The Mask)", the Friday The 13th Part VI: Jason Lives single version from 1986.
A truly brilliant music video from late-model METALLICA. This is "All Nightmare Long" from 2008's Death Magnetic.
*BONUS VIDEO*
And we finish up with a song that wasn't featured on this week's METAL WORKS, but the video features Lemmy and Pinhead playing poker... so how could I NOT include it in this Halloween Edition music video recap? From 92's March Or Die here's MOTORHEAD with "Hellraiser."
If you're wondering why OZZY OSBOURNE's "Bark At The Moon" is not included, it's because there must be some licensing issue with the video. If you'd like to watch it, it is on his Facebook page. Click this link: https://www.facebook.com/ozzyosbourne/videos/10153527381042318/
