Some were great. Some were embarrassing. But all left us wanting more, and drove us to the record stores to pick up the LPs, cassettes, or (for the rich kids) the CDs that the songs came from. They were music videos. And they ruled the world.
I've picked a few of the videos of songs from this past Saturday's METAL WORKS (just click here to check out the full playlist). You probably saw these back in the day on Miscellaneous Television or Much Music or Night Flight or Friday Night Videos, etc. etc.
**Some of the video quality on these aren't great, but I tried to find the best version of each for your trip down memory lane.**
Enjoy!

Let's get things going with DIO. From 1990's Lock Up The Wolves it's "Wild One."
Featuring cameos from legendary game show host Wink Martindale and the cool Landmaster vehicle from the 1977 movie Damnation Alley, here's QUIET RIOT with "The Wild And The Young" from 86's QR III.
From their 1992 album Under The Influence, it's WILDSIDE with "Hang On Lucy."
CINDERELLA with "Somebody Save Me" off 86's Night Songs.
ARCADE (the band featuring STEPHEN PEARCY of RATT and FRED COURY of CINDERELLA) with "Nothin' To Lose" from their self-titled 1993 album.
Best band name ever? Well it's gotta be close. From their self-titled '89 album, here's RAGING SLAB with "Don't Dog Me."
Featuring the keyboards of GREG GIUFFRIA, here's his band HOUSE OF LORDS with "I Wanna Be Loved" their self-titled 1988 album.
KISS certainly proved there was still gas in the tank when they released this single and the video for it. From 92's Revenge, it's "Unholy."
Sophomore slump? Not with these guys. From 1991's Slave To The Grind it's SKID ROW with "Wasted Time."
And we end with something brand new. From their latest album Burn It Down which is out now, here's THE DEAD DAISIES with "Dead And Gone."
