Some were great. Some were embarrassing. But all left us wanting more, and drove us to the record stores to pick up the LPs, cassettes, or (for the rich kids) the CDs that the songs came from. They were music videos. And they ruled the world.
I've picked a few of the videos of songs from this past Saturday's METAL WORKS (just click here to check out the full playlist). You probably saw these back in the day on Miscellaneous Television or Much Music or Night Flight or Friday Night Videos, etc. etc.
**Some of the video quality on these aren't great, but I tried to find the best version of each for your trip down memory lane.**
Enjoy!

Let's get things going with one of the songs featured on the Patriotic(ish) first hour of this past week's show... ALICE COOPER's "Freedom" off 1987's Raise Your Fist And Yell.
Y&T's "All American Boy" from their 1985 album Down for The Count.
"Give me a bottle of anything. And a glazed doughnut. To go." DAVID LEE ROTH's "Yankee Rose" from 86's Eat 'Em And Smile continues our 'Merica theme.
Going way back to the early years of DEF LEPPARD for "Hello America" from their 1980 album On Through The Night.
Off 82's Too Fast For Love, MOTLEY CRUE with "Live Wire".
Our second song to feature bassist BILLY SHEEHAN, here's MR. BIG's "Green-Tinted Sixties Mind" off 91's Lean Into It.
EXTREME with "Little Girls" from their 1989 self-titled debut. (Apologies for the small video - it was the most non-pixelated, unstretched-to-widescreen version I could find.)
And last but certainly not least, MEGADETH with "Wake Up Dead" from the 86 Peace Sells... But Who's Buying? album.
