Some were great. Some were embarrassing. But all left us wanting more, and drove us to the record stores to pick up the LPs, cassettes, or (for the rich kids) the CDs that the songs came from. They were music videos. And they ruled the world.
I've picked a few of the videos of songs from this past Saturday's METAL WORKS (you can check out the full playlist by clicking here). You probably saw these back in the day on Miscellaneous Television or Night Flight or Friday Night Videos. Some of the video quality on these aren't great, but I tried to find the best version of each for your trip down memory lane. Enjoy!

Let's start with this Iron Maiden classic from the Powerslave album, "2 Minutes To Midnight."
Here's a little 80's era Black Sabbath. From the The Eternal Idol album featuring Tony Martin on vocals, "The Shining". (Apologies - the very beginning of the song is clipped off.)
From their 1992 album Cuatro, here's Flotsam and Jetsam with "Swatting At Flies."
Lillian Axe with their classic "Show A Little Love".
Warrior Soul's "The Wasteland" from their album Drugs, God, And The New Republic.
From their self-titled '82 album, here's Vandenberg with "Burning Heart." Try not to be distracted by Adrian's tiger-stripe tuxedo.
If you've never seen this, you obviously weren't alive in the 80s. Ratt, "You're In Love".
It's Sea Hags from their one-and-done self titled album with "Half The Way Valley."
