John Lennon was 16 (going on 17), Paul just 15 when they were introduced after John's Quarry Men Skiffle Group performed at St. Peter’s Church in Woolton, Liverpool. From all accounts, the two chatted briefly about their love of American Rock n' Roll acts like Eddie Cochran, Gene Vincent and Little Richard. Then, McCartney showed Lennon how to tune his guitar properly. About two weeks later, Paul was invited to join the group and their legendary partnership was born.
