It was in the late 1970's when I went to my first Nashville Sounds baseball game at Greer Stadium and as a kid I was immediately hooked. I remember some of country musics best stars were part owners like Jerry Reed, Conway Twitty and The Oak Ridge Boys! Miniature bat night and getting ice cream in the little baseball helmets. Now the Sounds have moved on to a bigger and much nicer stadium, but I have to admit I was a little upset when I learned this past week that Greer Stadium was being demolished. Looks like that sight could possibly have African Americans from the Civil War buried there.
