Reports: Taylor Swift May Be Headlining 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show

Speculations is running rampant that Taylor Swift is set to perform the 2023 Super Bowl Halftime Show, and a new article from Variety seems to put all of the puzzle pieces together.

The NFL announced last night at Midnight EST that Apple Music would be the new sponsor of the halftime show.

New music is usually released at midnight EST, and Taylor's new album (out October 23rd) is titled Midnight. In a world where there are very few coincidences, the midnight EST announcement certainly seems like a big one.

There are bigger reasons to believe that Swift will headline, however, than just fan speculation. Taylor's new album Midnights, out October 21st, will be her sixth album in the last four years (two re-releases and four original albums). None of those six albums have been toured on, and Taylor was forced to cancel her handful of dates in 2020 due to the pandemic. More often than not, a Super Bowl halftime show performance is used as a platform to launch a major tour (see Beyonce several years ago).

An even bigger coincidence is that this is the first year in nearly a decade that the halftime show is not sponsored by Pepsi. Why does that matter? Well, in 2013, T-Swift entered into a partnership with Coca-Cola which prevented her from playing events sponsored by Pepsi...and so, no Halftime show. Could a new sponsor open the door to Swift performing on football's biggest stage?

While no one has confirmed Swift's performance, there are multiple sources that are reporting an announcement coming soon.

What surprise guests would you want to see on a Taylor Swift-headlined Halftime show?
