Two Popular Nashville Restaurants Permanently Closed

The last three years have been tough on Nashville's thriving food scene, and yesterday two more popular Nashville eateries closed their doors for the final time.

Tavern in Midtown and Whiskey Kitchen in The Gulch both announced on social media that they were permanently closing.

Tavern's ownership group posts

Tavern has closed it’s doors for the final time. Thank you to all guests and team members for making this experience exceptional.
All team members have accepted opportunities at Saint Añejo! They will see you there 🤗

In a similar Facebook post, Whiskey Kitchen announced also that their team members were all retained at other M Street properties.

After 13 years Whiskey Kitchen has closed its doors for the final time. Thank you to all guests and team members for making this experience exceptional.
All team members from Whiskey Kitchen has accepted opportunities at other MStreet concepts. They cannot wait to see you soon!

M Street owns several properties around Nashville, including Kayne Prime, Virago, Moto, and Saint Anejo, among others, so it's a classy move to offer displaced employees positions at those locations.

It's a sad day though as those were two of my favorite spots around town!
