Remember back in the old days, when we had to watch a show and then WAIT A WHOLE WEEK to watch the next episode of?
Dark days, these were.
Well, Netflix may be pushing us back to the Stone Ages once again. The streaming service says they may start rolling out week-to-week episode launches, for a variety of reasons.
First, they're facing increased competition and wanting users to spend more time with their service. A week-to-week model offers more opportunities for watching.
Second, going week-to-week offers viewers the chance to talk about each episode, theorize and tweet about each episode in the same way that fans did for cable shows like Game of Thrones and The Walking Dead.
Finally, going week-to-week reduces the chance of spoilers online ruining series for those that are a little behind.

Netflix isn't alone in this. Hulu's hit series Only Murders in the Building only releases one week at a time, and more and more shows are starting to work that way.
It won't affect ALL Netflix shows, however. For example, Season 5 of Stranger Things will still come out all at once for your binge-watching pleasure.
