The former bassist took to the band's YouTube page to unbox everything that comes with the expanded edition. The band re-released the album, with a remastered limited-edition deluxe box set, and pre-orders receiving instant-grat versions of "The Memory Remains" and original recordings, of "Instrumental Mix, Take 18 Floor Take", and "Live In Brisbane". "ReLoad (Remastered)" is available in 2LP, CD, 3CD expanded edition, cassette and digital, with exclusives including previously unreleased demos, rough mixes, live performances, on-air and television appearances, and much more. The release of "ReLoad (Remastered)" will mark the opening of the #GetTheReLoadOut fan cover competition, where fans across social media submit their interpretations of "ReLoad" tracks for the #GetTheReLoadOut competition. A different track off the album will be highlighted each week throughout the competition.
Released on November 18, 1997, "ReLoad" was the third consecutive album to debut at No. 1 on the Billboard 200 for Metallica, spending nearly 80 weeks on the chart and attaining No. 1 status in six countries.
