Summer is not over!
Because we still have National Hot Dog Day to enjoy!
National Hot Dog Day is celebrated on this day in July, and honors the staple that is sausage in a bun. Some add relish, or ketchup and mustard, but no one pays homage to the frankfurter, footlong or wiener better than the USA.
No matter what we call it, Summer isn’t Summer without a hotdog, which is as American as Apple Pie. Hot Dogs are found at every cookout, baseball game, and movie theater in the nation. It’s safe to say that hot dogs may be the most consumed meal in the U.S. other than a burger or pizza. Even though menu’s have been added to at those events, hot dogs are still the simple go to for just about every attendee.
So whether it’s all beef, or pork, or just a kraut, go out and get yourself a dog on National Hot Dog Day!
