Nashville Predator's Place Key Player On Injured Reserve

The Nashville Predators have been on a roll here lately. They are currently sitting at first in their division and have a record of 6-1. Some experts are saying this team could be the team to win it all! There's tons of chemistry and of course, we have the reining Vezina Trophy winner Pekka Rinne.

Well, we have some bad news about Pekka.

It was announced today that the Preds have put Pekka Rinne on injured reserve. What had happened was during the game against the Calgary Flames, Kevin Fiala ran into Rinne after the Flames scored a goal which you can see the play below:

Now that the Preds have placed Pekka on IR he must sit out the next 3 games at least. Luckily for the Preds they have another AMAZING goaltender on the bench in Jusse Saros. The team hasn't released any information on what Rinne sustained, but what some are saying is it could be a number of things, concussion, lower body injury or something else.

We hope that it's nothing serious and wish Pekka a speedy recovery!
