Police in Middle Tennessee are searching for a woman they claim has been posing as a rideshare driver for years and stealing from passengers.

Metro Nashville Police issued a warning on its official Facebook page warning residents of a possible theft suspect posing as a driver for a rideshare company. Detectives are hoping someone in the community may have information about the woman who they say has been reportedly drugging passengers and stealing their wallets, per WKRN.

"Victims recall getting into what they believed was their rideshare where the female driver offered them a water bottle and they claim to have blacked out [after taking a drink]," the post states.

MNPD have received nearly a dozen reports matching the woman's description over the last two years. All of the victims reported waking up with their wallets missing, with one telling police his phone was used to transfer money through Bitcoin and Cash App. Some victims' credit cards were used to purchase large sums of merchandise at stores like Walmart, Kroger and Target, according to police.

Anyone with information regarding the suspect is encouraged to call Crime Stoppers at 615-742-7463.
