Eddie Vedder performs "Maybe It's Time" from A Star Is Born.

Sunday night, Eddie Vedder played in Tempe, Arizona and at set break turned into Jackson Maine from A Star Is Born. If you haven't seen the movie yet, Bradley Cooper plays an iconic rock star who struggles to keep his career afloat while getting beat up by life. Eddie Vedder may not be the first person that comes to mind in that role but he is definitely up there. That is why when studying the role Bradley Cooper decided to spend time with Vedder to "ask him 9,000 questions" he told Yahoo Entertainment. "He gave me minor little things that only musicians know what to do." Cooper said.

Jason Isbell was the one who wrote "Maybe It's Time" for the movie, and he loved every second of Sunday night. Tweeting "Eddie Vedder sang my Bradley Cooper song in his set tonight. That is by far the strangest sentence I’ve ever composed but it’s certainly a huge honor. I was 12 when “Ten” came out and by god I learned how to play every song on it.".

So, maybe it wasn't the actual Jackson Maine on stage but the character came to life with Eddie Vedder playing the song that was written by an artist that grew up playing his work, who wrote it as a character largely based on himself.

The movie is great, Jason Isbell is an incredible songwriter, and Eddie Vedder is a legend. The video does contain graphic language with Eddie repeating some crowd banter, however it does play into the song and character.
