Escaped Inmate Found in Hot Water

In what sounds like a deleted scene out of Netflix's "Orange is the New Black", an inmate who escaped custody is back behind bars after Ohio police found her soaking in a hot tub at a senior living facility, all while still wearing her yellow jail outfit.

The Pike County Sheriff's Office says a 34-year-old woman fled custody while she was being booked on drug-possession charges on Tuesday. Sheriff's deputies and the local police chief caught up with the runaway inmate a few hours later after someone called 911 to report a woman sitting in the hot tub at an activity center for seniors located in Waverly, about 60 miles south of Columbus.

Body camera footage from the arrest show the officers approaching the woman, ordering her to get out of the hot tub. "Step out of the hot tub!"

"I was naked," she replies.

"OK" the officer replies.

Authorities haven't revealed how the woman managed to get there.

The Pike County Sheriff's office says the woman is being charged with felony escape in addition to the initial drug charges for alleged heroin possession.
