Frasier actor Kelsey Grammer says the show’s revival will pay tribute to Kirstie Alley’s performance in Cheers.
Alley played Rebecca Howe on Cheers.
She died in December after a short battle with cancer.
Grammer says the show will not directly feature a repeat of Alley’s Cheers character, but that the writers will attempt to “find a character that can do what Kirstie Alley did in ‘Cheers.’”
Grammer said that incorporating an Alley-like figure is always something “in the back of [their] minds.”
