New York police investigators have launched a manhunt for a suspect who attacked a subway passenger by hurling human feces at her.
The disturbing assault occurred last Monday in the Bronx, where a 43-year-old woman was sitting on a bench on the subway platform, police say. That's when an unidentified man appeared and began throwing poop at the woman, striking her on the face and the back of the head in what police are calling an "unprovoked attack." Security footage shows him attempting to smear the excrement all over her face before making his exit. As of Monday afternoon, the poop thrower was still at large, police say.
The incident happened less than two months after a man was stabbed to death in the same subway station, according to the NYPD.
