FACT: The oldest ears of popcorn were discovered in New Mexico in 1948 and 1950. They were estimated to be four-thousand-years old.

FACT: The Aztecs ate popcorn, but also used it to decorate ceremonial headdresses, necklaces, and statues of their gods.

FACT: Sugar rationing during World War Two reduced the amount of sweet treats, and as a result America's popcorn consumption tripled in the early 1940s.

FACT: The average American today eats approximately 51 quarts of popcorn each year.
