Weather Predicting Groundhog Dies Right Before Groundhog's Day

Tomorrow February 2 is Groundhog's Day! We would find out what weather we would be enduring if the groundhog sees its shadow, it is said to give us six weeks more of winter weather.

Well there's some sad news coming out just a day before Groundhog's Day. Milltown Mel, who has served as the weather predictor during Groundhog Day in New Jersey the past several years, died just days before the annual local event.

Punxsutawney Phil is the more famous groundhog, but the handlers of Milltown Mel say Mel has a better track record on predicting when Spring will arrive.
