DOG RESCUED AFTER ESCAPING FROM ANIMAL HOSPITAL

A very smart dog who was not at all interested in being stuck in an animal hospital opened several doors to escape – only to be recaptured and returned to safety.

A 10-year-old Great Pyrenees named General left from a back door of the facility at around 4 in the morning. Surveillance video actually shows the dog opening several doors inside the clinic in order to make his great escape.

General's owner, Travis Campbell, said he was eventually located after he was found curled up under a tree outside of a home in the neighborhood.

Travis explained that General is very special and a smart dog. He says he actually told the animal hospital that General loved the outdoors and would make an escape attempt, but the staff probably didn’t take the warning seriously enough.

General’s breakout was also probably motivated by his love for his family. At home, General is surrounded by six kids who love him and treat him like a brother – which was enough of a reason for him to make run for it. (WRC-TV)
